VITTORIE A ROMA E NERVIANO CON MASCIARELLI E FIORIN. 5° TAKACS ZSOMBOR

Due vittorie in un pomeriggio regalano al team MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack una giornata da leoni con il GP della Liberazione, gara internazionale nel cuore di Roma, e il Trofeo Caduti di Nerviano, classica per ruote veloci in Brianza.

Ad ottenerle sono rispettivamente Lorenzo Masciarelli, che si aggiudica la classica nel circuito di Caracalla esattamente 50 anni dopo il trionfo di nonno Palmiro, e Matteo Fiorin, velocista di Barrucana di Seveso. Per entrambi gli atleti si tratta del primo successo di stagione e nella categoria U23. La giornata è impreziosita dal 5° posto di Takacs  Zsombor a Roma che conferma la bontà del progetto italo ungherese.

ROMA: Iniziamo dalla gara di Roma, dove Masciarelli ha sferrato l’attacco a 5 chilometri dall’arrivo e in solitaria ha preceduto il tedesco Kessler e Andrea Alfio Bruno (Hopplà) al termine di 3h:13′:35″ di sforzo. Per Masciarelli una giornata da ricordare e tanto voluta. Il pescarese ha infatti lavorato tutto l’inverno nel ciclocross per aumentare il livello di esplosività.

DICHIARAZIONI: È il corridore pescarese classe 2003 a raccontare tutte le sue emozioni:

“Finalmente è arrivato questo successo, il primo dell’anno e nella categoria. Una vittoria che significa tanto. Era troppo tempo che la cercavo. La volevo dedicare a Simone Roganti, mio carissimo amico scomparso lo scorso anno. Uscivamo spesso in bici assieme per gli allenamenti. Oggi ho dato tutto e nel finale pensavo a lui, che mi ha spinto a tenere duro ed avere ancor più grinta”.

Come si è sviluppata la gara: “C’era il mio compagno Takacs che metteva in difficoltà il gruppo nei tratti più duri. Andava sempre fortissimo. Ai meno tre giri dal termine ha selezionato il gruppo. All’ultimo giro ho dato la botta finale rimanendo solo. Stavo bene. Le gare nervose sono le mie, anche se non so ancora quale tipo di corridore sia, ma questa vittoria mi regala la serenità che mi mancava. Aver vinto il Liberazione è importantissimo e mi darà fiducia. Sono partito per divertirmi ed è stato un vero divertimento. Prossimo obiettivo? Biella”.

In ammiraglia Beppe Dileo, visibilmente emozionato: “Mi sono commosso. Oggi era tutto studiato e i ragazzi hanno corso alla perfezione. È la prima volta in stagione in cui riusciamo a dominare. Superlativo Masciarelli, maiuscolo Takacs. Grandi Cipollini, Nespoli e Oioli. Ci abbiamo creduto, siamo stati forse gli unici. Masciarelli continuava a infondere fiducia. Per noi il Liberazione è una prova sentita, vinta di recente con Romele e Gazzoli”.

NERVIANO (MI): Il secondo trionfo di giornata arriva dall’Alto Milanese, dove Matteo Fiorin ha dato una dimostrazione di classe vincendo di due biciclette su Lorenzo Cataldo al termine di 151,2 km in 3h14’49” (media 46,567 km/h).

Subito le dichiarazioni: “Sembrava che la vittoria fosse diventata irraggiungibile e devo dire che questo trionfo è in linea con la giornata. Una liberazione. Qui avevo gareggiato pure lo scorso anno e conoscevo il percorso. Grazie ai miei fantastici compagni, e in finale ho avuto Gabriele Casalini come pesce pilota a guidarmi. Siamo entrati in curva primo e secondo e siamo riusciti a vincere. Bellissimo”.

Per lui un successo che giunge dopo 18 mesi di digiuno: “Sapevo che prima o poi sarebbe arrivata, ma non è stata una cosa scontata. Abbiamo dovuto lavorare a fondo. La cosa bella di oggi è stata quella di vincere a 20 km da casa, e sul traguardo c’era mia mamma ad applaudirmi”.

La sua stagione inizia ad essere ricca di risultati: “Un primo e un secondo posto a Civitanova Marche sono buoni risultati. Ora guardo già alla Vicenza-Bionde della settimana prossima. Ho abbattuto un muro importante, ora spero di essermi sbloccato”.

A guidare il team oggi, Gianluca Valoti, che ha sottolineato la generosità del collettivo: “Makrai e Balogh hanno controllato. Bracalente in copertura e Casalini. Chiudiamo una settimana eccezionale”.

Il bilancio spetta al team manager Antonio Bevilacqua, che ha voluto innanzitutto ringraziare Gabor Deak, le famiglie Ballan, D’Aprile e Colleoni:

“Quando iniziamo a vincere siamo pungenti. Sapevo che ci saremmo sbloccati. Nespoli ha dato il via a tutto e oggi una giornata da incorniciare. Mi fa piacere vedere come anche i ragazzi ungheresi siano stati fondamentali sia a Roma con Takacs, sia a Nerviano.

Infine, sottolineo come le nostre quattro vittorie siano state colte con quattro corridori diversi. Due le internazionali di peso, e tutto è bellissimo”.

DOUBLE SUCCESS: ROME AND NERVIANO

Two wins in one afternoon give MBH Bank Ballan CSB Colpack a roaring day, with victories at the Gran Premio della Liberazione, an international race held in the heart of Rome, and at the Trofeo Caduti di Nerviano, a classic sprint race in the Brianza region.

The victories were respectively claimed by Lorenzo Masciarelli, who won the classic on the Caracalla circuit exactly 50 years after the triumph of his grandfather Palmiro, and Matteo Fiorin, a sprinter from Barrucana di Seveso. For both riders, this marks their first victory of the season and in the U23 category. The day was further enhanced by Takacs Zsombor’s 5th place in Rome, confirming the strength of the Italian-Hungarian project.

ROME:
Starting with the race in Rome, Masciarelli launched his attack with 5 kilometers to go and soloed to the finish ahead of German rider Kessler and Andrea Alfio Bruno (Hopplà), completing the effort in 3h13’35”. It was a day to remember for Masciarelli, the result of hard work and determination. Over the winter, the rider from Pescara trained in cyclocross to improve his explosiveness.

STATEMENTS:
The 2003-born rider from Pescara shared his emotions after the race:

“Finally, this win has arrived — my first of the year and in the category. It means a lot. I had been chasing it for a long time. I want to dedicate it to Simone Roganti, a very dear friend of mine who passed away last year. We used to train together often. Today I gave it my all, and in the final stretch I was thinking of him — he gave me the strength to push on with even more grit.”

How the race unfolded:
“My teammate Takacs was putting the group under pressure on the tougher sections — he was going so strong. With three laps to go, he split the peloton. On the final lap, I made the decisive move and went solo. I was feeling great. I thrive in nervous, dynamic races, even though I still don’t really know what kind of rider I am. But this win gives me the peace of mind I was missing. Winning the Liberazione is huge and it boosts my confidence. I set out just to enjoy myself — and I did. Next goal? Biella.”

In the team car, Beppe Dileo was visibly emotional:

“I was moved. Everything went exactly as planned and the boys executed perfectly. This is the first time this season we’ve been able to dominate. Masciarelli was superb, Takacs phenomenal. Cipollini, Nespoli, and Oioli also did great. We believed in it — maybe we were the only ones. Masciarelli kept inspiring confidence. The Liberazione is a race we hold close to our hearts, which we’ve recently won with Romele and Gazzoli.”

NERVIANO (MI):
The second triumph of the day came from the Alto Milanese region, where Matteo Fiorin showcased his class by winning two bike lengths ahead of Lorenzo Cataldo at the end of 151.2 km in 3h14’49” (average speed 46.567 km/h).

Post-race comments:
“It felt like the win was slipping away from me, but this victory fits perfectly with the spirit of the day. A liberation. I raced here last year too, so I knew the course. Thanks to my fantastic teammates — in the finale, I had Gabriele Casalini as my lead-out man. We took the last corner first and second, and we nailed it. Incredible feeling.”

This success comes after an 18-month drought:

“I knew it would come eventually, but it was far from guaranteed. We had to work really hard. The best part about today is winning just 20 kilometers from home — and seeing my mom cheering at the finish line.”

His season is now off to a promising start:

“A first and a second place in Civitanova Marche are solid results. Now I’m already looking ahead to the Vicenza-Bionde next week. I’ve broken through an important wall — hopefully I’ve unlocked something.”

Team director Gianluca Valoti emphasized the team’s collective strength:

“Makrai and Balogh controlled the race, Bracalente was on the cover, and Casalini did great. We’re wrapping up an exceptional week.”

Team manager Antonio Bevilacqua summed it up, first thanking Gabor Deak, and the Ballan, D’Aprile, and Colleonifamilies:

“When we start winning, we’re sharp. I knew we would break through. Nespoli started the ball rolling, and today was a picture-perfect day. I’m especially pleased with how our Hungarian riders played a key role — Takacs in Rome and others in Nerviano.
And let me point out: our four victories this season have come from four different riders. Two of them were major international races — and that’s just beautiful.”
